The investigation into the apparent homicide of a 7-year-old Sanpete County girl continued Sunday with an autopsy by the Utah Medical Examiner and a search for additional evidence.
Shara Lee Church, Fairview, was reported missing at 8:30 p.m. Friday and her body was located at an undisclosed location at 10 p.m.Sheriff Wallace Buchanan said a juvenile suspect is being held in a Richfield detention facility in connection with the investigation. Charges are pending the results of the medical analysis.
The sheriff said no other information would be released until the investigation is complete.
