Fifteen Utahns will represent the state in the 12-under Hap Dumont Baseball World Series, August 9-19 in Casper, Wyo. Utah, with a 22-1 record, is in a 16-team field and will meet the Great Lakes regional winner on opening night. Team members include Jesse Bullock, Josh Farmer, Parker Guymon, Randen Heywood, Chris Howard, Blake Johnson, Kevin Kelsey, Matt Lawson, Bryson Ostler, Trent Pearce, Jake Shortino, Nick Starley, Scott Stocking, Jeremy Webster and T.J.Wright. Coaches are Ron Bullock, Gordon Ostler and Dean Robb.
