Chester "Chet" L. Jensen, 75, passed away Saturday, September 22, 1990 of natural causes.

He was born October 1, 1914 in Murray, Utah to Annie Helane Meyers and Neils Lorenzo Jensen. He attended Murray schools and graduated from Murray High School. He married Hazel C. Cook in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple on May 28, 1941. He served in the Army Air Corps, in the Philippines during World War II. He worked as a chemist for the U.S. Bureau of Mines and retired after 37 years of service. He was a High Priest in the Winder 6th Ward. He served in many positions in the L.D.S. Church, including two stake missions and one full-time mission with his wife in the California-Ventura Mission. He was a kind, thoughtful, loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all.He is survived by his wife, Hazel; two daughters, Janice Marie Jensen and Mrs. Don (Carol Helane) Skousen and three grandchildren, Benjamin, John and Elizabeth, all of Salt Lake City; also one sister, Mrs. Lee (Carma) Eakle and two brothers, Reid, Salt Lake City and Horace, Logan, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 26, 1990 at 12 noon at the Winder 6th Ward Building, 4366 South 1500 East, Salt Lake City. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Mackay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive or one hour prior to service at the ward building. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 So. Highland Drive.
