Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Alfreda Mitchell King, 89, died Friday, January 11, 1991 at her home following a linger illness.
She was born February 24, 1901 in Woods Cross, Utah, daughter of Edward and Mary Emery Mitchell. She married Alonzo Leo King on May 21, 1926 in Manti. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died April 4, 1970. She was a member of the Hutnsville 2nd LDS Ward.She is survived by six children, Alonzo E. and Lila King, Kingwood, Texas; David E. and Lola King, El Cajon, Calif.; Mary and Jack E. Harker, Bountiful; Leonora and Charles Hoyt, Rancho Cordova, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Jack A. Harker, Jr., who was killed in Viet Nam; five brothers and eight sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd, with Bishop Mike Libby of the Huntsville 2nd Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Monday, from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
