Morgan School District has won a $50,000 grant to enhance educators' computer literacy. The grant was presented by the State Office of Education as a reuslt of an application by Dale Porter, district director of technology.

The grant will allow the district to encourage educators to upgrade their technology skills. The program offers "remuneration in kind" - a personal computer for educators who complete a 41-hour intensive training course and are certified to a standard of knowledge and application skills.An outside agency will evaluate the concept to measure its benefit to the district.
