SHARE 8 YOUNG SOLOISTS WILL PLAY WITH UTAH VALLEY SYMPHONY

Eight young musicians will solo with the Utah Valley Symphony at its annual Young Artists Concert, to be presented Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 23 and 24, in the Provo Tabernacle. Starting time each night will be 7:30 p.m., with tickets, at $4 ($3 students/seniors), available at the door.

Featured will be clarinetist Michelle Watabe, 16; Kirk Richards, 14, horn; harpist Melissa Myers, 17; violinists Korinne Lowe, 14, and Amy LaDawn Jacob, 20; and pianists Trisha Fackrell, 13; Lara Jean Lambert, 17; and 23-year-old Stephen Thomas, all selected in auditions last September.They will be heard in concertos of Weber, Mozart, Dittersdorf, Saint-Saens, Tchaikovsky and Brahms. Clyn Barrus will conduct.

Free parking is available in the county parking terrace east of the tabernacle.
