Von Freeman, who almost stole the show at the Snowbird Jazz Festival last summer, will be returning to the resort for two big shows.On Jan. 4 and 5, the saxophonist will bring his Chicago jazz to the Golden Cliff room in the Cliff Lodge.
Freeman has toured and played with the best. He's recorded dozens of records and is generally considered one of the best-kept secrets in modern jazz. Reviewing his latest release on the Southport label, the Chicago Tribune said: ". . . among the very finest jazz recordings of the last 15 years."
