SHARE DEATH: LARUE THOMAS

LaRue Ann Rose Thomas, age 87, long time Bountiful resident and formerly of Malad, Idaho, died Thursday, January 3, 1991 in Bountiful.

She was born February 24, 1903 in Hyrum, Utah, daughter of Joseph Walter and LaVina Allen Rose. She grew up and was educated in Hyrum and Malad, where she attended Malad High School. She married William W. Thomas on August 26, 1922 in Malad, Idaho; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She resided in Malad for many years moving to Bountiful in 1957. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served in many capacities, and was a faithful servant of her Saviour Jesus Christ.She is survived by her husband, Bountiful; two sons, Wayne Worthe Thomas, Sandy; David Kem Thomas, Murray; two daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Shirley) Wagner, Salt Lake City; Gay Ann Branson, North Salt Lake; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. DeVon (Miriam) Thomas, Salt Lake City; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Emogene Harenberg, Mrs. Phyllis Pope, and Mrs. Dan C. (Merle) Williams, all of Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by one son, DeVon and one daughter, Wanda LaRue, and three sister.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, 11 a.m. in the Bountiful LDS 1st Ward Chapel, 51 So. Main, with Bishop Matthew Asmus officiating. Friends may call Sunday, from 6-8 p.m., at the Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 No. 400 East, and Monday at the church, one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Malad, Idaho City Cemetery.
