Alice Chittenden Cecala, age 88, died Saturday, January 5, 1991 at her residence.
Born June 7, 1902 in Green River, Utah to Hyrm and Rozina Emelina Hill Chittenden. She married Clarence Nielsen in 1918 and they were later divorced. She married James G. Cecala in 1937 and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Cecala lived most of her life in Salt Lake City. She spent some of her early years in Alberta, Canada, where she received her education. She moved from Salt Lake to St. George in 1985, where she has since resided. She was a member of the LDS Church. She loved to knit, crochet and do needlework.Surviving family members include; two sons, Eddie C. Nelson, St. George; Blaine Nelson, of Las Vegas; 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, one brother, one sister, Myrl Fife, Missouri; Roy Chittenden, of Canada.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 8, 1991, 2 p.m. at the Valley View Memorial Park (Winder Cemetery), 4100 So. 4400 West in West Valley City, Utah, under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
