SHARE CENTER TO OFFER `WORKPLACE LITERACY’ CLASSES

The Davis Applied Technology Center is offering a program designed to teach "workplace literacy" skills required by most employers in the area.

The center, which recently received a federal grant to develop the program, is accepting registration for the classes, which begin Feb. 4 and end March 29. Applicants must be at least 18 and read at an eighth-grade level.The 140-hour course will include instruction in computer literacy, applied mathematics, critical thinking, economics, problem solving, mechanical aptitude and work success.
