Josie Mecham, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away January 4, 1991.
She was born July 2, 1919, in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Fermin and Tresciliana Giron Martinez. She was married to Armenio Gutierrez and later divorced. She then married Orson Mecham, who preceded her in death.She is survived by: her children, Tony Gutierrez, Charlotte Langton, Mondo Gutierrez, Mrs. Everett (Edna) Sanchez, Joey Gutierrez, Johnny (Cindy) Gutierrez; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, all of Salt Lake City. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Louie (Mary) Martinez, of Colorado.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 9, 1991, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 715 West 300 North. Vigil service with rosary will be held Tuesday evening, from 6-8 p.m., at Mackay Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
