Rocky Mountain Helicopters Inc. has added three BK-117s to its fleet. The $7.2 million equipment purchase brings the company's total fleet to 120, including 99 helicopters and 21 fixed-wing aircraft.

J. Russell Spray, vice president of Rocky Mountain Helicopter's medical group, said the increase in number of aircraft reflects an increase in the company's operations. "The growth in the medical group has been higher than projected and will require three additional aircraft to keep abreast of the demand."Rocky Mountain Helicopters expects its rate of contracts to continue to increase at 15 percent through 1991. "At this point, we continue to see further expansion in the medical division, running slightly ahead of 1991 projections. We are pleased with the trend." Spray said.
