Haiti's exiled President Jean-Bertrand Aristide said Friday that if reinstated he would be willing to make changes in his government, but only after the military leaders who ousted him are jailed or deported.

He also denied accusations that he had violated democratic norms and encouraged mob violence during his eight months in office.Aristide, 38, was overthrown and forced into exile on Sept. 30. The Haitian legislature, under pressure from the military, appointed a temporary successor.
