SHARE NHL PLAYERS DON’T PLAN TO STRIKE

The NHL Players Association doesn't plan to strike the start of the season despite the lack of a new collective bargaining agreement, union vice president Ryan Walter said.

Talks between the NHLPA and the league broke off last week in Toronto. The old agreement expired on Sept. 15, but the full exhibition schedule went on as planned and Walter said he expects the regular season to start on Thursday as scheduled.Nationally . . .
