The truck driver, Howard Draine, 64, Washington state, was in stable condition with chest injuries early Monday in the Mountain View Hospital intensive care unit in Payson, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Two passengers in Skinner's car were also injured. Weston Skinner, 6, was in stable condition with abdominal injuries early Monday at Mountain View. Carrie Poteet, 13, Covered Bridge, Utah County, was treated for facial cuts and bruises at Mountain View and released, the spokeswoman said.

A UHP dispatcher said Skinner was driving westbound on U.S. 6 when she crossed the center line at a bend in the road and hit Draine's eastbound semi head-on.

Skinner's car then crossed back into the westbound lane and struck a car driven by Allan Hansen, 52, Fairview, Sanpete County, the dispatcher said. Hansen apparently was not injured.
