Skyline carries its perfect record into the 4A playoffs this weekend. The Eagles climbed into the No. 1 spot in the Deseret News Coaches Prep Football Poll early in the season and have since refused to leave their lofty perch. The 9-0 Eagles face Hillcrest Friday at 3 p.m. in inter-region playoffs.

Elsewhere in the 4A poll, Brighton stayed in second place with an 8-1 record, the Bengals' sole loss coming against Skyline. Brighton plays host to West Jordan Friday at 3 p.m. The 8-1 Hunter Wolverines moved up from fourth to third place in the final prep football poll of the year following their shutout over Kearns last Friday. Hunter will host Highland at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.Fourth-ranked Timpview, which finished the season 7-1, will face Clearfield on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Falcons defeated Weber and Layton Tuesday afternoon in a special tiebreaking format for a trip to the playoffs. Mountain View defeated Orem, 21-0 in the other 4A tiebreaker game.

Bingham, 16-10 winner over Hillcrest last Friday, moved into fifth place in the poll. The Region 3 co-champs will host Cottonwood on Friday at 3 p.m.

Mountain Crest remained the unanimous No. 1 in the 3A poll. The Mustangs will host Murray at 2:30 Friday afternoon. Second-ranked Jordan jumped three spots after being ranked fifth last week. The Beetdiggers will face Ogden at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Ogden defeated Skyview, 10-7 on Tuesday.

Dixie moved from just a few votes last week to third place this week. The Flyers travel to Lehi for an inter-region playoff game at 4 p.m. Springville, 7-2, dropped from second place to fourth and will compete against Uintah at 2 p.m. on Friday. Fifth-place Granite, last week's No. 3, will host Bear River at 5 p.m. on Friday.

Delta, unblemished during the regular season, is still No. 1 going into the 2A quarterfinals. The 8-0 Rabbits will play at home Friday in a 3 p.m. tilt against Hurricane. No. 2 Grantsville will host fifth-ranked San Juan Friday at 2 p.m. Park City will face Beaver, the team it tied for third place in the poll, at 2 p.m. Friday.

Region 13 terror Monticello took over the top spot in 1A the poll's final week. The 9-0 Buckaroos will host No. 3 Rich in the 1A quarterfinals at 1 p.m. Friday (the game will move to Moab in case of inclement weather). Also at 1 p.m., second-ranked North Summit will host Altamont.
