The Utah County chapter of the March of Dimes has a way to help Utah County businesses save money. It is initiating a "Babies and You" prenatal health care program among Utah County businesses.
"Babies and You" was introduced in 1990 and has enabled businesses nationwide to save money on health-benefit costs by promoting early and ongoing prenatal health care among working women.Dynix Inc. of Provo is holding "Babies and You" seminars and is the first business in Utah Valley to take advantage of the program. The topics Dynix has chosen include good prenatal care, stress management and nutrition. "We have tried to promote overall wellness within our company, and including the topics the March of Dimes offers has enabled to company to include areas that actually affect our bottom line." said Mike College, manager of human resources.
Other companies planning to participate include Stouffers and Novell.
