Louis H. Callister, the vice chairman of the University of Utah Board of Trustees, is the U. College of Law Alumni Association's 12th alumnus of the year.

Callister, chairman of the board and senior partner in the Salt Lake law firm of Callister, Duncan & Nebeker, was honored at a recent reception coinciding with the U. homecoming.A 1961 U. law graduate, Callister was instrumental in establishing a scholarship fund at the College of Law in memory of his father, Louis H. Callister Sr. The Callister Memorial Scholarships enables working students to reduce their working hours so they can devote more time to their studies.

He is also a trustee and secretary of the Salt Lake Police Honorary Colonels. He served on the board of governors at LDS Hospital and was vice chairman of the Salt Lake City Zoning Board of Adjustments.
