To the editor:
Are citizens of Salt Lake City now convinced that after Mayor Wilson and Mayor DePaulis, back to back, we still need the same machine, a Corradini? In all my years as a resident of Salt Lake City, this is the first time I have witnessed the sale of the city. I did read about the sale of Manhattan Island way back, when the white man scalped the Indians, only this time it's costing a lot more wampum. Some things never change.
I owe the bank, but Mrs. Corradini owes everybody as a result of all the out-of-state money and her megabuck friends' contributions. How will Mrs. Corradini ever be able to repay all these favors if elected, and what will it cost us citizens?
I heard Mrs. Corradini say on TV that she can relate to the west-siders. I ask how? Maybe by getting rid of your Jaguar or taking your children out of private school or maybe getting rid of your maid? Mrs. Corradini can no more relate to us than I can relate to John Paul Getty.
Heaven help us if she is elected mayor.
