SHARE U. DIVISION WILL OFFER CONFERENCE ON PLANNING YOUR INVESTMENTS

The University of Utah Division of Continuing Education will offer an investment planning conference titled "Can You Afford to Wait" on Nov. 2, 1992 at the Olpin Union.

Dale Hatch, financial officer for the state Board of Regents, will lecture on how federal and state taxes affect personal investments.Other panelists include an independent financial planner, an independent tax consultant, an estate tax attorney and representatives from the Internal Revenue Service, the Utah State Tax Commission, TIAA-CREF, Merrill Lynch and IDS Financial Services.

The conference, which costs $90 per person and $150 for couples, will cover estate and gift taxes, mutual funds and investments, pre-retirement issues, structuring business for tax purposes, life insurance and tax-deferred annuities, tax planning and wills and trusts.

Other topics include post-retirement financial planning for singles, analyzing certified public accountants, life insurance and or financial planners, avoiding schemes and implementing and monitoring the financial plan.

The cost of the conference is tax deductible.
