If your piano is out of tune - or the action isn't quite right - the cause could be clothing moths, according to a mothproofing company. The felt sections of hammers in pianos can be attacked by the larvae laid by clothing moths and cause severe damage, explains Mel Appelbaum, president of Excell Products Corp. Storing a small bag of mothballs inside a piano should solve the problem, he says.
