Turner Publishing and the Soviet news agency Tass will collaborate on a book about the failed coup in the Soviet Union. The book of photos and text is tentatively titled, "Three Days That Shook the World: The Collapse of Communism in the Soviet Union." The title is a play on "Ten Days That Shook the World," the eyewitness account by American writer John Reed, who was in Moscow during the 1917 communist revolution.

Meanwhile, the Dutton publishing house is rushing out its Boris Yeltsin biography because of the upheaval in the Soviet Union. John Morrison's book, "Boris Yeltsin: From Bolshevik to Democrat," had been scheduled for publication in January but now will be shipped to stores this month.
