It was man vs. machine, and when it was over, the engineer of a 1910 locomotive was eating the dust of 51 bicyclists.

The cyclists beat Grand Canyon Railway's Engine No. 18 on Saturday in a 50-mile race from the Grand Canyon to Williams."It's just unbelievable," said engineer Charles Harris. "That's as fast as I've ever made that run. I was 11 minutes ahead of schedule, and they still beat me by 15 minutes."

Wiatr Krzystof finished first among the 147 professional cyclists, winning the $11,000 Man Against Machine Cycling Classic in about two hours.
