Timpview moved into the Deseret News Prep Football Coaches Poll this week following it 42-0 shutout of Pleasant Grove. The Thunderbirds, unblemished in region play and 4-1 overall, are all alone at the top of Region 4. They are ranked fifth in the 4A poll, replacing Hillcrest which lost to West Jordan last week.

Elsewhere in 4A, Skyline stayed in first, Hunter in second and Brighton dropped a spot to third. Highland stayed in fourth place. The top-ranked Eagles defeated Cottonwood 25-0 last Friday.The top three teams in the 3A poll maintained their positions for a second straight week. Mountain Crest is still No. 1, followed by Bear River and Springville. Dixie, a 41-7 winner over Pine View, moved back into fourth place and Granite replaced Emery at No. 5.

In the 2A poll, Delta (No. 1), Park City (No. 3) and Hurricane (No. 5) kept their previous rankings while Grantsville moved up two notches to No. 2.

Beaver moved back into the poll following its 35-0 victory over Millard. The Beavers are ranked fourth where they are tied with Hurricane.

The 1A poll showed no movement again as the top three teams continued to dominate their opponents.
