Ryan Murry, an all-state lineman from Brighton High School, will sign a national letter of intent to play football for the University of Utah next season, according to Murry's father, Mike.

Prep players can't officially sign a letter of intent until February, but he has made a verbal commitment to the Utes."His brothers have both played there, and his dad wanted him to stay home so he could watch him play," said Mike Murry.

Ryan, 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, played both offensive tackle and defensive end for Brighton during the past two seasons. He will play defensive end at Utah.

Ryan's brother, Mike Jr., was a starting offensive tackle for the Utes before concluding his career in 1990, and another brother, Scott, started at tight end for the Utes as a junior last season.
