Scott Laird "Skinner" Matheson, age 78, died on December 8, 1991 at the Cedar Care Center, after a lengthy illness.
He was born August 28, 1913 in Parowan, Utah, the fifth child of a family of 12 of David Albert and Anna Elizabeth Mickelson Matheson. He was married Maureen Halterman Matheson, until her death. He later married Ruby Hulet Matheson, who is also deceased.He is survived by one brother and two sisters, Victor Matheson, Cedar City; Mrs. Aaron (Beth) Leigh, Yerington, Nev.; Mrs. Arden (Nell) Hirschi, St. George; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Skinner served in the Armed Forces during World War II in the European Theatre, except for those years away he lived in the Parowan area. He was an excellent hand with sheep and spent most of his working years in the sheep business. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 11, 1991, 1 p.m. in the Parowan 1st-2nd LDS Ward Chapel, friends may call at the Southern Utah Mortuary in Parowan, Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Interment, Parowan City Cemetery, under the
direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
