The federal Centers for Disease Control has said it hoped to release a final regulation in January that would expand the definition of AIDS to include people who are infected with the human immunodeficiency virus, HIV, and whose immune systems are weakened, but who are not yet seriously ill."What may seem like a simple name change involves a lot of complex issues," Harlan Dalton, a Yale law school professor and a member of the commission, said Tuesday.
