Construction has started on Aspen Springs Ranch subdivision, a 272-acre project on the west side of U-224 between Iron Canyon and the former Osguthorpe dairy farm.
The Park City office of Gump & Ayers Real Estate Inc. is the marketing agent for the development. It will maintain an office at the site and offer snowmobile and cross-country ski tours of the property during the winter. The community will have 43 first-phase homesites, trails for hiking, biking and Nordic skiing, meadows, aspen groves, streams and private ponds. Aspen Springs Ranch Corp. also has dedicated acres of meadowland contiguous to the dairy farm as open space, said Gerry Jackson, president.
Park City's planning staff offered helpful advice on what acreage should remain free of development to preserve the entry corridor and aesthetic integrity, Jackson said.
