Elpeneke Leventis Kogianes, 86, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died December 10, 1991 in American Fork.
Born January 6, 1905, in Theriso, Khania, Crete, Greece to Emanuel and Maria Anagnostakis Leventis. Married George D. Kogianes June 14, 1924 in Salt Lake City; he died April 4, 1976. She lived in Sunnyside, Utah, and later Provo where she raised ten children. She will be remembered for sharing many meals and her homemade bread. She loved gardening and crocheting.Survived by nine sons and a daughter, John, West Jordan; Jim, Ogden; Steve, Manus and Sam, all American Fork; Dr. Michael, Kingman, Ariz.; Mary K. Jenkins, Riverton; Tony and Gus, both of Provo; George, Lewiston; 26 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be Friday, 10 a.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, where friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Services will also be held Friday, 2 p.m. in the Greek Orthodox Church, 61 South 200 East, Price, prior to burial in the Price Cemetery.
