For the first time since the 1970 football season, Weber State University will have a representative in the East/West Shrine All-Star football game. Geoff Mitchell has been named the West Team.

The 67th Shrine game is scheduled for Sunday, January 19, 1992. It will be played in Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto, California, beginning at 1 p.m. (MST). The game is being broadcast live by ESPN. More than 70,000 persons are expected to attend the game.Only three players in the 29-year history of Weber State football have been invited to participate in this prestigious post-season All-Star game. The first was defensive end Ron McCall in 1966, followed by Lee White in 1967. The last WSU player to play was defensive tackle Henry Reed in 1970.
