Henry Herbert Mills, age 83, died Tuesday, December 10, 1991 at his home of causes incident to age.

He was born July 1, 1908 in Salt Lake City, a son of William Hays and Ollie A. Clayton Mills. He married Avon Wilkinson September 11, 1929 in Peterson; the marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She died September 27, 1988. He was a member of the LDS Pleasant Valley Ward, and had been a temple worker, served as Young Mens president, and in the High Priest group leadership. He had been a member of the Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Red Cross, member of the Rotary Club, Chairman of the Boy Scouts of America for Carbon County, finance member for the Boy Scouts. He was the first president and member of the Price City Chamber of Commerce, vice president of the Utah Municipal League, and had served as mayor of Price City. He was owner and manager of Mills Equipment Company in Price for many years.Survived by one son, H. Michael Mills, Ogden; daughter, Mrs. Ronald D. (Lynne) Pexton, Peoria, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Clayton Mills, Salt Lake City; and sister, Mrs. Robert (Lorraine) Krall, Kemmerer, Wyo. Preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m., at the Pleasant Valley Ward Chapel, 5735 South Crestwood Drive, South Ogden, with Bishop Gary Boyer officiating. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., and Saturday, at the church from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Interment, Farmington Cemetery.
