The Legal Assistants Association of Utah, LAAU, elected the following officers to serve for 1992.

Kay Bateman was elected to president of LAAU, a non-profit organization founded in 1981 to support the professional and educational interests of legal assistants in Utah.Bateman is legal assistant supervisor with the Salt Lake law firm of Suitter, Axland, Armstrong & Hanson.

Julie Monson, a legal assistant with the law firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Leiby & MacRae, was elected to vice president. Tamera Eklund, employed by Parsons, Behle & Latimer, will serve as LAAU's secretary, and Sharon Bertagnole, legal assistant to Paul Lovel, is going to serve as treasurer.

Furthermore, LAAU operates through various committees whose elected chairs include: Marilu Peterson, education; Debbie Ratterman, public relations; Becci Booth, ethics; Suzanne Addison, NALA liaison; and Loa Nebeker, membership.
