Zilla Francis Adams Sessions, age 95, died Friday, December 6, 1991 at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.

She was born December 25, 1895 in Layton, Utah, a daughter of Andy W. and Harriet Forbes Adams. She married Lawrence H. Sessions October 15, 1919 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. In her early years, she was active in music on the piano and was part of the Adams Orchestra with her father, brother, sister and cousins, playing at dances throughout Davis County. She and her husband, were owner/operators of the A & W Rootbeer Barrel Drive-in and Restaurant, and were also owner/operators of the Sessions Cold Storage Locker Plant and Grocery Store in Clearfield for many years.She was a member of the Clearfield 1st LDS Ward, and was active in the Relief Society and visiting teacher work. She and her husband celebrated their 72nd Wedding Anniversary on October 15, 1991.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; one daughter, Norma and husband Howard Haymond, Springville; two sons, Rulon and wife Maxine Sessions, Bountiful; Dean and wife Ann, West Point. Also surviving is one sister, Vida Roueche of Layton; 13 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Hazen.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 1991, at 11:00 a.m., at the Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State Street, where friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
