Alene Jeppson McDermaid, 69, passed away February 9, 1991 at her home in Salt Lake City.
She was born March 29, 1921 in Brigham City, Utah to David F. and Anna Fuller Jeppson. She married Cecil H. McDermaid on February 10, 1943; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 11, 1963.Alene was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society organizations. She also served a mission with her husband. She was employed as a secretary for West High School. She was a great example to her family and loved by all.
She is survived by her loving husband, Cecil; four daughters, Karen (Thomas) Thomson; Susan Rasmussen; Anne (Scott) Loertscher; Nancy (Kevin) Billings; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Lantz, Burbank, Calif.; Ruth Jansen, Salt Lake City; five brothers, LaMar, Northfork, Calif.; Earl, Glen, Boyd, Ogden; and Keith, Orem. She was preceded in death by a sister, Erma; and brother, Max.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 12, 1991, at 11:00 A.M. in the Rose Park 2nd Ward, 760 North 1200 West. Friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, and Tuesday, at the ward, 9:45-10:45 A.M. Interment, Logan City Cemetery.
