Gemstones, stuffed dinosaurs, T-shirts and fossil kits are just part of the Valentine's sale selection Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 11 and 12, at the Earth Science Museum.

From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, the museum will sell an assortment of items. The genuine gemstones - amethysts, sapphires, topaz and garnets - have been donated to the museum and will sell from $10 to $25.Located just west of Cougar Stadium, the Earth Science Museum will have on display a heart-shaped vertebra from a brontosaur tail.

The museum is also extending its regular hours, and guided tours are scheduled for Monday evenings and Saturday afternoons.

The following hours are now in effect: Mondays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Tuesdays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays, noon to 4 p.m. The guided tours are Mondays at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Volunteers are needed for Monday nights and Saturday afternoons to work in the gift shop or conduct tours. For more information, call Janita Andersen at 378-4517.
