Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Mary Davis Ward, age 78, passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with congestive heart failure on February 13, 1991, in a Provo Hospital
Mary was born October 20, 1912 in Murray, Utah, the daughter of Alfred Fredrick and Maud Luella Davis. She married Frank Ward on July 14, 1936; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Frank preceded her in death October 10, 1982. She was an active member of the 29th Ward in the Riverside Stake for over 40 years. She was also a charter member of the Fleet Reserve Association Auxiliary Branch #185 serving in many leadership capacities. Mary retired from working for a local Tupperware distributorship in 1971. She was very talented as a seamstress and enjoyed crafts and working with her hands. She had a great love for music.Mary is survived by three sons, Stan and Donna, Hacienda Heights, Calif.; Bob and Carol, West Valley; Fred and Deni, Provo; and daughter, Mary Lue and Ken Kieffer, Bountiful; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Howard and Glen Davis. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Merle Dean, Margaret Johnson, and Loretta Carroll; one brother, Rex Davis, and her beloved husband, Frank.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 16, 1991 at 12 noon, in the Riverside 29th Ward LDS Chapel, 1100 West 500 North, Salt Lake City. Friends may call Friday, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, and one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
