The University of Utah women's basketball team was as cold from the Civic Center floor as the frosty below zero temperature reading in outdoor Omaha, Friday, and the consequence was a 69-64 loss to Creighton. Utah went into the game with the chance to move into a tie for first in the WAC with the Lady Jays, but a 38-percent shooting night left the Utes in second, with a 6-3 league record (15-9 overall). Creighton, 8-2 in the WAC, was held well below its league-leading 84.8 ppg scoring average, but shot a respectable 48-percent to hold off the Utes. Karen Alcorn (21 points), Mikki Kane (14 points) and Kelly Shaheen (10 points) accounted for most of Utah's points.
