The Madeleine Choir School, sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City, will hold auditions on Monday, Feb. 25, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Diocesan Pastoral Center, 27 C St.
This schola cantorum, or school of singing, is open to all children along the Wasatch Front in grades three through eight. The choristers receive instruction in the reading of musical notation, music theory, vocal performance and choral performance, and are exposed to musical literature ranging from Gregorian chant to 20th-century compositions.
