Harmon Smith Walker, age 69, passed away February 27, 1991, in Salt Lake City, Utah, of cancer.

Born March 19, 1921, in Salt Lake City to John William and Emily Jane Smith Walker. He was happily married twice, Bonnie Jean West and Joanne Ashley, both deceased.Member of the LDS Church. A prominent Western Chef Extraordinaire, blue-ribbon horseman, avid outdoorsman and World War II veteran, he is credited for his pioneering leadership in helping to make Salt Lake into a major culinary community.

He is survived by his son and two daughters, John Harmon Walker, Rosanna West Capehart and Cynthia West Walker; grandchildren, Daniel, Bethany, Jackie, Krista, Emily, Amanda; great-grandchildren Nathan, Ariana and Athena.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 1st, 11 a.m., Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue & N Street. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Friday, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
