Utah State has moved up to fifth in NCAA women's gymnastics rankings and, coming off two of its top three scores of the season, the Aggies move on to defend that shiny new status against 20th-ranked Boise State (5-9) and unranked Washington (8-5) in a tri-meet Saturday at 2 p.m. in Boise.

The Aggies had their best score of the season, 192, in a meet against the Broncos (183.8) on Feb. 11 in Logan. That was the second-best score in USU history. Ray Corn's team, now 8-5, scored 191.4 - the school road-meet record - to beat New Mexico (184.95) in Albuquerque Sunday, and it had 190.8 in a loss to No. 1 Utah (192.4) Feb. 20.Aggie all-arounder Barb Zahl bruised a knee at New Mexico and may sit out this weekend. That could bring Julie Ryan into the all-around. Ryan is making a comeback after serving a two-year LDS mission. Michele Bugbee and Brenda Scholl will probably be all-arounders Saturday.

Utah State is 17-0 against Boise State, 5-4 against Washington.
