Teach quilting at care center. Once a week.

Volunteer plumbers, handymen, electricians, painters, etc., needed to help with minor repairs for handicapped individuals or senior citizens (all low-income) in Salt Lake County. Volunteer will be on-call and times are very flexible.

Work one-on-one in hospice program. Training provided.

Make phone calls for American Cancer Society. Evenings.

Help small children cross the street before and after school.

Answer telephone adoption questions. Flexible times, training.

Work in a crisis nursery for children 12 and under. Flexible schedule.

Do office work in adoption program. Four or more hours a week.

Over 50? Work with chronically ill or disabled children under 12. Four to five hours a week, training. Some transportation reimbursement.

Help with scheduled weekly activities, entertainment and bingo at care center.

Conduct glaucoma and lazy-eye screenings.

Grandparents are needed to help in group homes with activities, school programs and to work one-on-one with troubled teenage boys. Flexible times.

Teach English as a second language to children. Training. Flexible hours.

Visually handicapped senior citizens are needed to help others with daily tasks. Twenty hours a week. Must be over 60. Small stipend provided.

Provide small kitchen items, household items for teen home.

Give furniture.

Provide window curtains and shower curtains.

Give household items and furniture to families leaving homeless shelter.
