BYU's men's golf team took a two-shot lead Thursday in the first round of the Guadalajara Intercollegiate.

The 11-over-par score was followed by Cal-Santa Barbara at 301, Washington 304, Utah 305, Wichita State 306, Missouri 313 and Boise State 319.Alejandro Munoz of the Mexico South Zone was the first round individual leader with a two-under, 70. BYU's John Johnson was in a three-way tie for second at 73 with, Derik Gilchrist USCB and Mike Swingle of Washington.

At 74 are BYU's Eddie Heinen, Utah's Ross Marcano, Washington's John Lumis, and BSU's Mark Rhodes.
