A man walking through Pioneer Park was stabbed Thursday night by three men who stole his leather coat, according to Salt Lake police.

Sgt. Scott Atkinson said Don Pedworth, 43, was approached inside the park by three men about 8:30 p.m. They asked him to sell them the leather coat he was wearing. When he refused, one of the men jumped him, stabbed him and took his jacket.Pedworth was taken to LDS Hospital, where he was listed in fair and stable condition Friday morning with a single stab wound in the abdomen, a hospital spokesman said.

Officers later arrested a 17-year-old suspect and booked him into the Salt Lake County Jail in connection with the stabbing. Police still were looking for two other suspects Friday, Atkinson said.
