Paris Bryant handled the scoring and his teammates employed an aggressive man-to-man defense as Wyoming ended its regular season with an 88-74 Western Athletic Conference win over Texas-El Paso Thursday in Laramie, Wyo.

Bryant scored a game-high 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Wyoming broke a two-game losing streak to go to 8-8 in conference play and 18-10 overall.Wyoming coach Benny Dees credited the improved play since the Cowboys' loss to Colorado State on Tuesday to a return to a man-to-man defense.

" thought that was the difference in the game because we had just been struggling," he said. "We went back and somehow the guys just picked it up a notch."

New Mexico 66, Air Force 56

Luc Longley scored 26 points, including six of New Mexico's eight points during a 4:36 stretch in the second half, as the Lobos beat Air Force on their home court.

Longley made 11 of 14 from the field, blocked three shots and had nine rebounds. Rob Robbins added 12 points, while Willie Banks and Jimmy Taylor each scored 10.
