Utah skiers John Aalberg and Ingrid Butts took top honors in the Yellowstone Rendezvous, the sixth event on the Great American Ski Chase cross country series.

Aalberg, a former University of Utah skiers and defending GASC champion, posted a time of 2 hours, 20 seconds. Audun Endestad of Fairbanks, Alaska, was second in 2:00.25. Third was Aasmund Drivenes, another former Ute, in 2:07.54.Butts, a U.S. Ski Team racer living in Park City, posted a time of 2:16.58. Laura Macabe of Salt Lake City, was second in 2:23.58. Jan Gunenther of Cary, Ill., was third.

In alpine racing, Hilary Lindh, a member of the U.S. Ski team and a former member of the Salt Lake-based Rowmark Ski Academy, was the top finisher in the World Cup downhill in Canada. She was 17th.
