The Utah women's tennis team, coming off a tough loss to in-state rival Brigham Young (5-4) on Thursday, pulled off a major upset in upending No. 13 Tennessee at the Eccles Center Saturday. The Utes, now 7-9 overall, fell behind 2-4 in singles but came back to win all three doubles matches to claim the win, 5-4.

Alison Bradford of Utah beat Michele McMillen, ranked 38th nationally, 6-0, 6-1. At No. 2, Utah's Julie Kempin lost to Mandy Wilson, No. 32 in the nation, 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 while at No. 3, Utah's Ruth Ann Stevens lost to Dawn Martin, ranked No. 20 nationally, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. The Utes next play Kansas on Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Eccles Center.
