Len Dykstra of the Philadelphia Phillies insisted his coming testimony in federal court this week in Jackson, Miss., had nothing to do with baseball.

"I'm handling it. I've had worse problems. It has nothing do to with playing baseball," Dykstra said, commenting on the case that involves a man accused of running illegal poker games who also picked up $50,000 worth of markers for the center fielder. "What's the big deal?"The bottom line is that I played poker, and the guy who ran the game is in trouble. Players in the game are being called as witnesses. It's pretty basic."
