The Salt Lake Golden Eagles took a 4-3 shootout victory over the San Diego Gulls Sunday night.

Andrew McKim scored once in regulation and clinched the victory with a goal in the shootout. It marked the 40th victory of the season for Salt Lake, the second-place team in the IHL West.C.J. Young scored twice in regulation, the second one coming early in the third period to make it 3-2 Eagles. But Darren Bannister tied it at the 11:28 mark to force overtime.

Eagle goalie Warren Sharples came up with two key saves in the five-minute overtime period, stopping Darren Lowe and Soren True. He had 29 saves on the night.
