Paul Petersen, 18, 1155 E. 200 South, was climbing with a friend 4.5 miles up the canyon in a spot known as Mill B North when he lost his footing and fell about 40 feet into the creek below at about 2:30 p.m. Salt Lake County Search and Rescue officers had to climb above the creek and lift Petersen out on a stretcher with ropes, said deputy Paul Burnett."The area was steep and pretty treacherous, but it's not an area where we have a lot of problems," Burnett said.
