Kay Matsumura, chief of Pioneer Valley Hospital in West Valley City since 1983, has been named chief executive officer of Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful.
Matsumura succeeds William P. Moore, who has been named director of public affairs for Utah HealthTrust Inc., which owns six medical facilities, including Lakeview and Pioneer Valley, in the state.Before taking the helm at Pioneer Valley, Matsumura was chief executive officer at Brigham City Hospital, another HealthTrust facility. Before that, he was an assistant administrator at Lakeview.
Matsumura was recently named outstanding chief executive officer of HealthTrust Inc.'s Western region.
